Rosalia Vila Tobella[2] (born 25 September 1992. born 25 September 1992. @]),[4][5][6] She is a Spanish singer from Spain. Born and raised in the outskirts of Barcelona and was described as an "atypical pop star" due to her diverse musical styles. She was attracted by Spanish folk music when she was just 13 years old. She studied musicology at Catalonia College of Music and also performed at weddings. The album reinvented flamenco by combining it with pop music and hip-hop. The songs "Malamente", and "Pienso en tu Mira" were a hit among the Spanish public, and were met with all-encompassing applause from the critics. El Mal Querer, who was awarded the Latin Grammy Award as Album of the Year and included in Rolling Stone's 500 Greatest Albums Of All Time was the catalyst for Rosalia's rise to the international scene of music. [12][13] Rosalia explored urbano music with her releases in 2019 "Con Altura" and "Yo x Ti, Tu x Mi", achieving global success. She introduced reggaeton to a new approach to her third album Motomami (2022), departing from the new flamenco sound of its predecessor. Its songs "La Fama", and "Saoko" were able to capture the attention of the world's media and was the most reviewed album on Metacritic. Rosalia has scored an impressive total of ten top one singles in her home country over her entire career. This is the most she's ever had a local artist. Rosalia has also been awarded two Grammy Awards, eleven Latin Grammy Awards (including two Album of the Year nominations) as well as four MTV Video Music Awards, an MTV Europe Music Award, three UK Music Video Awards and two Premio Ruido awards, among others. In 2019, Billboard gave her the Rising Star Award for "changing the music of the present day music through her unique flamenco-inspired pop",[18] and became the first Spanish-singing act in history to be recognized as the Best New Artist at the Grammys
Rosalia was born on 25 September 1992 in Sant Cugat del Valles and raised in Sant Esteve Sesrovires,[20][21][22] Baix Llobregat, Catalonia. She is the youngest of four children born to Pilar Tobella, an entrepreneur who owns a tiny metalworking company. Her father, Jose Manuel Vila, was born in Cudillero, Asturias. The couple divorced in the year 2019. The older sister, Pilar Vila ("born 1989") is her stylist and creative director. Rosalia was interested in the performing arts from an early age, particularly after discovering the discography of Camaron de la Isla. She began her musical training at the Taller de Musics [es]. She completed a 6-year program in the academy. She started at the Raval school, and then transferred to the Superior School of Music of Catalonia. [25] She also autonomously was a singer on her own at weddings, as well as in musical bars, for which she was paid "a little over 80 euros or for dinner". Rosalia was capable of meeting many underground Spanish artists during that period, including La Zowi and Yung Beef, Kaydy Case, Hinds, Maria Escarmiento, and Kaydy Cain.
